DESCRIPTION:If you are after some relaxation\, a good stretch\, and some mindfulness\, why not give Yoga a go? \nNeighbour and Yoga teacher\, Liana\, runs free\, hour long classes each Saturday at 8am. Meeting indoors at QT during the cooler weather\, and outdoors at Company Square Reserve during the warmer months. \nA group of Yogi’s then head to The Pear for coffee & brekky after class. DESCRIPTION:Gardening doesn’t have to cost much money!\n \nIn this beginners’ workshop we’ll show you how to have a healthy\, productive garden on a shoestring.\n \nThis workshop is suited to those getting started with edible gardening. Learn how to grow healthy\, fresh produce on a budget. \nLearn to make your own compost\, raise your own seedlings\, shop in the waste stream and share with your community.\n \nPlease also join us if you rent or don’t have much garden space\, as we’ll also cover simple ways to work with what you’ve got. \nHead over to this link to book your tickets: https://events.humanitix.com/gardening-on-a-budget \nAbout your presenters:\nIndi and Phoebe from Patch of Plenty are friends and passionate food growers with experience in home and market garden contexts\, and with a deep interest in permaculture design. They have backgrounds in horticulture\, conservation biology and community organising. \nPatch of Plenty aims to help more people become responsible for gardens that produce food\, are ecosystem-centric and are resilient in a changing climate. Their work is guided by the permaculture ethics of earth care\, people care and fair share. \nLocation\, venue & access: This workshop will be held at QT Hub\, a new community space and community garden in Queenstown\, 5 minutes from Port Adelaide. QT Hub is wheelchair accessible. We are excited to introduce you to this cool new neighbourhood node. \nChildren: Please note that this event is aimed at adults. If children wish to attend\, they will need to have a concession ticket\, must be accompanied by a guardian and be appropriately supervised. \nPlease bring: \n\nyour water bottle & snacks (tea and coffee provided)\npen and paper (if you’d like to take notes)\nappropriate clothing for the weather.
