SUMMARY:Guided Alberton History Walk
DESCRIPTION:Guided Alberton History Walk \nLaunched during the SA History Festival 2022\, this walk takes you past 20 locations to create a unique peek into what it was like to live in Alberton at different points in history. The stories you will hear have come from interviews with eleven past and present Alberton residents\, as well as from historical materials. The interviews\, historical research and putting together this walk were done by a team of dedicated local volunteers. Your volunteer guide for this walk will be Simone 🙂 \nIf you are unable to join the guided walk\, you can complete the Alberton History Walk in your own time by using your smartphone! \nWe would like to acknowledge that we live and walk on the Traditional lands of the Kaurna people\, and that sovereignty of this land was never ceded. The Kaurna people have always been and always will be the custodians of this land\, and in that knowledge\, we pay our deepest respects to all Elders past\, present and emerging and to all Aboriginal people joining us for this event.

DESCRIPTION:Neighbour and volunteer Tai Chi teacher\, Carol\, runs free weekly Tai Chi classes outside under the veranda at The Pear. \nThe class kicks off for an hour at 10am each Friday morning. No registrations are necessary\, you can just rock up on the day! \nTai chi techniques aim to address the body and mind as an interconnected system\, with relaxation and well-being benefits. \nBeginners are always welcome.
