DESCRIPTION:Each Monday and Thursday morning at 8am (7am if forecast is above 30 degrees) a group of neighbours meet outside The Pear for a brisk walk around the neighbourhood\, or along the Port River and back. Led by volunteer neighbour Sharon\, the walking group has been going for over 4 years. DESCRIPTION:Need to talk over an issue with a good listener? \nWant to vent and get something off your chest? \nAsk the Pear staff or send an email to arrange a ‘Free Listening’ session with neighbour Eimear. This session will entail about 30 minutes of active listening to help you reflect on an issue and move to a resolution. Eimear’s only job in this session is to make you feel heard. \nPlease note that whilst Eimear has a background in Mental Health Nursing\, this is not a counselling session. \nSessions can be booked in anytime between 9am and 12pm on Thursdays. \n[There will be no sessions between September 14 and October 12.
