The group are taking the initiative in establishing the garden step by step. With the garden currently in its infancy\, now is the perfect time to get involved and share your ideas\, dreams and skills. An exciting time for the neighbourhood! \nThe Neighbourhood Garden Club meets on Thursday mornings at 9.30am\, mostly at QT. They also regularly do excursions to each other’s gardens\, community gardens around and other great places where they can learn about gardening. \nTo join the Garden Club mailing list for the latest news about what upcoming sessions will be about\, send us an email at hello@neighbourhoodnode.com.au \n  \n\nThis activity is made possible with the generous support of our partner ECH Inc\, the Australian Government Department of Social Services and the South Australian Office for Ageing Well. \nThis club meets on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. DESCRIPTION:Completing an Advance Care Directive (ACD) can be challenging. An Advance Care Directive empowers you to make clear legal arrangements for your future health care\, end-of-life care\, preferred living arrangements and other personal matters. \nECH are facilitating free workshops in November 2022\, providing the opportunity for you to learn about Advance Care Directives and discuss your concerns in a supportive environment. There are three sessions\, all of which need to be attended in order to formulate your own Advance Care Directive. \nWorkshop 1: Tuesday November 15th\nIntroduction to the principles of Advance Care Directives\, and the importance of writing down and communicating your wishes about your future health and personal care in advance. We will also explore issues associated with appointing a substitute decision-maker and discuss the sort of information you might want to communicate about your values and wishes. \nWorkshop 2: Tuesday November 29th \nIn this session we will further examine how to express your values and wishes on the Advance Care Directive form. Bring discussion points\, thoughts\, and any questions you may have. \nWorkshop 3: TBA\nThe final session is an opportunity for you to clarify and express any concerns. A Justice of the Peace will be available to witness completed documents and there will also be a photocopy machine to make copies of the completed form. \nBookings are required. DESCRIPTION:An enthusiastic group of neighbours with varying levels of green thumbs meet fortnightly to discuss all things gardening\, and get their hands dirty with various projects\, one of which is the QT Neighbourhood Garden! The group are taking the initiative in establishing the garden step by step. With the garden currently in its infancy\, now is the perfect time to get involved and share your ideas\, dreams and skills. An exciting time for the neighbourhood! \nThe Neighbourhood Garden Club meets on Thursday mornings at 9.30am\, mostly at QT.
