DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to learn how to look after your own bike?\n\nAdelaide Bike Kitchen joins us at QT Hub Queenstown to present their famous Bike Basics workshop!\n\nThis workshop is an introduction to bike maintenance\, perfect for complete beginners but even those with some experience will learn something new.\nWe will cover an M safety check\, teaching you to identify every component of a bike and check whether it is in good working order and safe to ride. You will learn about the tools needed to fix basic bike problems and how to use them. The final part of the workshop will teach you the correct method to fix a puncture and get back on the road.\n\nTickets are $10.\n\nNo prior knowledge is required. This workshop will help you gain the confidence to do quick fixes on your own bike and know when you need to get some extra assistance.\n\nAll equipment provided\, participants will not be working on their own bikes but feel free to ride them to the event!

DESCRIPTION:Gardening doesn’t have to cost much money!\n \nIn this beginners’ workshop we’ll show you how to have a healthy\, productive garden on a shoestring.\n \nThis workshop is suited to those getting started with edible gardening. They have backgrounds in horticulture\, conservation biology and community organising. \nPatch of Plenty aims to help more people become responsible for gardens that produce food\, are ecosystem-centric and are resilient in a changing climate. Their work is guided by the permaculture ethics of earth care\, people care and fair share. \nLocation\, venue & access: This workshop will be held at QT Hub\, a new community space and community garden in Queenstown\, 5 minutes from Port Adelaide. QT Hub is wheelchair accessible. We are excited to introduce you to this cool new neighbourhood node. \nChildren: Please note that this event is aimed at adults. If children wish to attend\, they will need to have a concession ticket\, must be accompanied by a guardian and be appropriately supervised. \nPlease bring: \n\nyour water bottle & snacks (tea and coffee provided)\npen and paper (if you’d like to take notes)\nappropriate clothing for the weather.
