Neighbourhood Soup Night

Welcome to our Neighbourhood Soup Night

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community building at our Soup Night! This recurrent event is all about coming together over a warm, homemade meal to share ideas and explore ways to get more involved in our neighbourhood.

The evening will take place at QT – Neighbourhood, where we’ll gather around tables of eight to get to know one another and spark discussions about community ideas, skills, and interests. Whether you have a project in mind, a skill to offer, or just want to connect, this is the perfect place to start.

Neighbourhood Soup Night: A Potluck for Ideas

When does Soup Night take place?

Soup Night will take place on the first Monday of every Month. This is to ensure that we keep the ideas flowing, and to enable as many neighbours as possible to connect and get inspired!

You can find the upcoming Soup Nights in our calendar to the right.

The follow-up ‘Project Spark’ sessions take place every fortnight on Tuesday night at QT. The Spark Sessions are designed to help with kickstarting your project ideas, and to contribute to each other’s projects. More information about these sessions will be shared at Soup Night, and will soon be available on our website.

How it works

When you arrive at Soup Night, you’ll be welcomed into a cosy and friendly space where neighbours gather over delicious homemade soup and freshly baked bread. We’ll kick things off together, and then you can grab a bowl of soup, settle in at your table, and start chatting with the folks around you.

Throughout the night, we’ll have a few chances for you to think about and share ideas, whether they’re projects you’re passionate about or just some creative thoughts that come to mind. There will also be some fun moments where we mix things up and switch tables so you can meet more people and explore different conversations. When you arrive, you’ll get a card where you can note down any ideas or skills you’d like to share, along with a quick photo snap of you. These cards will be displayed for others to check out throughout the night as well as at future Soup Nights. This creates a great way for people to spot connections and potential collaborators!

As the evening winds down, there will be time to mingle more freely, and connect with anyone you’ve sparked an idea with. The vibe is casual and low-pressure, but designed to help you leave feeling inspired and more connected to your community.

For those who want to start collaborating with others on ideas that have come up on the night, there will be a regular follow-up ‘Project Spark’ opportunity. This fortnightly session will be facilitated by a neighbour passionate about and skilled in project planning, to support kick-starting ideas.
