Walking Schoolbus – Spark Session

What if your child could walk to school with their neighbours — safely, confidently, and with a smile?
We’re exploring the idea of a Walking School Bus: a group of kids walking to school together, with trusted adults or older students guiding the way. It’s about independence, connection across ages, knowing the neighbourhood, and lightening the load for families — all while building a stronger, safer community.
Let’s imagine how it could work:
🟡 What would it need to feel safe and supported?
🟡 How could we share the responsibility?
🟡 Could older kids be mentors?
🟡 Could there be a fixed starting / drop off point?
Come along to a Spark Session to share ideas, raise questions, and co-design something great for our kids and our community.
