We know that many people can’t make it to the Neighbourhood Garden sessions during the week, and that there are many little hands out there itching to help out with planting, weeding, watering, decorating and anything else the garden needs to thrive. That’s why we are starting monthly Neighbourhood Garden Catch-ups on the weekend! A casual garden gathering for anyone who would like to be a part of creating a green, growing neighbourhood space.
Come along with your favourite garden tools and gloves, bring a plate of food to share (if you like) for a shared morning tea and let’s all get our hands dirty.
Open to neighbours of all ages, dogs welcome.
If you have any seedlings or plants you would like to plant in the garden, feel free to bring them!
The Neighbourhood Garden is located on the Traditional lands of the Kaurna People. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that sovereignty of this land was never ceded. We promise to tread lightly and consider it our duty to look after the land as best we can.
The Neighbourhood Garden activities are made possible with support from the Australian Government Department of Social Services, our partner ECH Inc. and the South Australian Government Office for Ageing Well.
